Nature unfolds in discrete bits. You should know when to catch them. And when you do that, you are rewarded. For example, this photograph from this morning in Sharonville, Ohio where I have been since August.
This might be a silly thing to say but I think Nature recognizes those with a particularly keen interest and eye like I think I have and then holds spectacles a little longer. As spectacles of Nature go, this one is rather gentle and not particularly showy. However, even when I was taking this photograph I had a sense that people would generally like it. I am happy to report that I was right. It had the serenity of morning which is often evanescent.
It has been my experience that people do not commune enough with the relentless beauty of the planet we are on and instead waste much of their time in petty viciousness on a daily basis. I find myself looking at Nature so much that I have to consciously try and snap out of that communion.
